The HODL Bonus is one of the most important—and most misunderstood—parts of the Rally Match NFT program. This guide explains how the bonus works, how streaks are calculated, and what you must do to qualify. All information in this article aligns with the official Connect/Elevate Match NFT documentation.
What Is the HODL Bonus?
The HODL Bonus is an additional amount of digital rewards you may earn by:
Buying the same Rally Match NFT every week, and
HODLing (holding) all the rewards attached to each NFT for 26 weeks.
“HODL” is a commonly used blockchain term that simply means to hold your tokens and not move them.
How the Weekly Bonus Builds
Each week that you purchase the same Match NFT (same brand + same dollar amount), your bonus grows by 5% per week, up to a maximum of 100% at Week 20.
Weekly Bonus Progression
Week 1 → 5%
Week 2 → 10%
Week 3 → 15%
…
Week 20 → 100%
A full 20-week streak earns the maximum 100% match bonus.
Your Bonus Is Based on Rewards, Not Dollars
Your bonus is calculated on the total amount of digital rewards purchased, not the USD amount spent.
Example:
If you purchased 1,000,000 rewards over 20 weeks, you would receive another 1,000,000 rewards as your 100% HODL Bonus.
Two Requirements to Receive a Bonus
1. Maintain your weekly streak
To grow your bonus each week, you must buy:
The same brand
The same tier (e.g., $25, $50, $100)
Once every 7 days (168 hours)
You may only purchase one of each specific NFT tier per week.
2. HODL all rewards for 26 weeks
Each weekly NFT has its own 26-week smart contract lock.
If you move or transfer the rewards attached to that NFT before unlock:
The bonus for that week is forfeited
Other weeks remain eligible if they meet the rules
When Do Bonuses Unlock?
Each weekly NFT unlocks 26 weeks after the date it was purchased.
Important:
You do not receive all bonuses at once unless all your weekly NFTs reach the 26-week mark simultaneously. Each week’s NFT unlocks individually.
If You Miss a Week
If you skip a weekly purchase:
Your streak ends
Your next purchase starts a new streak at 5%
You still receive a bonus for your previous streak
Example
You purchased 3 weeks in a row → 15% bonus earned.
You missed week 4 → streak resets.
New purchase → starts again at 5%.
Your earlier 3-week streak remains eligible for its 15% bonus after its 26-week lock completes.
Stack Bundles and the HODL Bonus
If you purchased a 20-week Match NFT Stack:
You automatically receive a full 20-week streak
You qualify for the 100% HODL Bonus (as long as all weekly rewards remain HODLed)
Each NFT in the stack unlocks 26 weeks after its delivery date
Stack bundles do not eliminate the 26-week HODL requirement

You can track NFT delivery and timestamps on-chain using the Rally blockchain explorer:

Important Reminders
Rewards must stay in your wallet for the entire 26-week period.
Moving or transferring rewards attached to a specific NFT forfeits that week’s bonus.
Bonuses are always paid in the brand’s native digital reward (for Rally Match NFTs, that is RLINK).
